Our Story

Founded in 2014 by Doug Banks after years in construction, Coastal Boat Lift was built on delivering dependable lift service with clear communication and professionalism.

Recognizing a need for specialized boat lift services in Eastern North Carolina, Doug shifted his focus from general contracting to marine construction—and never looked back.

In 2018, Amanda joined full-time after a successful 17-year career in public accounting. Her leadership in systems and customer service helped elevate the business even further.

From the beginning, their son Austin has worked alongside them—making this a true family operation built on dedication, pride, and a deep understanding of the coast.

In 2024, they launched Coastal Lifts & Elevators, a separate company focused exclusively on residential cargo lifts and outdoor elevators. Both companies operate independently but are rooted in the same values: honest work, responsive service, and solutions built to last.
